I just got over the flu a couple weeks ago but I'm starting to get all the symptoms again-muscle aches, fever, chills, etc.
I forgot to buy a new toothbrush after I finished my medication and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it,could I posibly have reinfected myself?
Also, what is the fastest way to get rid of the flu and boost my immune system?

I would think its a differant strain if you have it again. I personally never purchased another toothbrush after being ill but since I shared the holder with others, I would soak it in Listerine. As far as getting rid of it..well that takes time. Get LOTS of rest, drink lots of good fluids and EAT. I know its hard to eat when you are sick but if you get weak, recovery will take alot longer.

If you "catch" it early enough, there are some antivirals your doc can prescribe to reduce the duration and severity of the flu. You shouldn't be able to catch the same strain twice since you don't get the same virus twice, but you could get a different strain.

thanks guys
Yeah, the toothbrush is an unlikely culprit and I did end up catching a different strain of the flu.My doctor won't put me on any meds. since I just took some a couple weeks ago and I have a persistent fever.I'm supposed to take some zinc tabs and a multivitamin and drink some echinacea tea-basically everything I'm doing so far.
