View Full Version : Suffering with a headcold

I've been looking through some old threads and I've found lots of good advice on how to handle a headcold - warm baths, miso soup, liquids etc... But I'm terribly impatient when it comes to stupid maladies. Are there any over-the-counter cold medications that are okay for vegetarians? I have some cold-ease, but the box is gone and I can't read the ingredients. Ugh.

I'm not much help with knowing about cold medications that are good for vegetarians but if you already own the cold-ease you may as well use it because it would be even worse to end up tossing it out. Hopefully someone else has better input than me!

Poppy, I agree with That Button about consuming what you've already purchased, assuming it's not expired 5 years ago or something along those lines. :)

If you'd like to see the ingredients in your ColdEeze, check at drugstore.com (make sure you spell it "coldeeze" with three E's)

They look fine for vegetarians, and some of the flavors are okay for vegans too.

I suggest Zicam if you feel a cold coming on. I don't know if it works once you've got a full blown cold though. Its an intranasal zinc gel and it really helps your body get over a cold faster!
