Our house was getting cluttered my husband was getting annoyed that he could'nt find anything and he finally flipped out and said..."this house has very negative energy in it!!" Well, I looked up house blessings on the net and took the advice of cleaning it all up physically and spiritually. I threw out old stuff and washed from top to bottom. Then my husband and I got some candles, burned some sage and swept the negative energy out of the doors and left a bowl of milk and honey outside the front door for good measure. Well, our front door was open the whole time and to our amazement..a beautiful black cat just walked into our house!!! We are now feeding him and he lets my husband pick him up!! I think we have a wonderful new pet!!

I thought milk was bad for cats.

Just trying to make a kitty feel welcome..with or without a home. :) And I am sure Milk and honey will not kill this cat :)

Actually, I don't know if it's a he or a she..but if it hangs around much longer, I will take it to the vet and get shots, neuter or spay..and give it a home with food and lots of lovings!! Oh, it looks like a young adult. :) All black and green eyes. Very tall and fluffy tail. We named him Shadow. :)

That is cute. It will hang around if you feed it, but that is okay.

I do not blame you. This was on another thread also. I would feed it too. But just like you said, if it stays with you, take it to the vet.

Aww. :)
Yeah, make sure he's not owned (place an ad in the paper, and take to a vet to scan for a microchip). If he's not, that's great that you're able to take him in! And cool that you're house got a much needed cleansing eh. Come do my house next.

It's a wonder what good energy can attract!! He/she must have sensed the good harmonics! Animals are pure spirits and are very in tune with energy. Good attracts good and conversely, bad attracts bad. Keep up the good energy!!
Whoah, that is just... well, whoah! Wow! What a story! :surprised

Yep, sounds like you've created some positive energy! But do make sure she's not just lost before you adopt her wholesale.

We had a cat that just started showing up at our house and would eat the spare dog food that our dogs left in their outside bowls. We made it a little cardboard bed with blankets and even borrowed some cat food from the neighbors so we could feed and water it properly. It hung around for about a week when my 6 year old sister realized it was her friends cat. Turns out the friend's grandpa had just recently moved into our neighborhood and the cat had hitched a ride (probably in the bed of his truck) and decided our house was the place to hang out. We were very sad to give it back but the little girl was so happy to have her cat back.
Moral of my story: (like everyone else has said) Make sure its not just someone's cat that escaped from their house. They may be missing it like crazy!
That being said congrats on attracting such a wonderful animal to your house. I hope its an orphan that has picked you to be its lifelong servant!
Hehe.. for a second I was imagining someone finding a cat under a pile of laundry. :p

Well, I went around and asked neighbors about the cat and most people say they just see it hanging around but it spends most of its time on our porch. If I don't find an owner, it's off to the vets for a micro chip scan, shots and spay/neuter. We shall see!! :)

Good for you. Let us know what happens after that.

If the kitty is tame he/she probably belongs to someone or used to belong to someone. If it's someone's lost cat I'm sure they'd be happy to get it back.
