(I posted this in another folder, but I just realized that this one is more appropriate.)

I have a dog and am fostering (and may end up keeping) another dog, and I'd like to feed them food that isn't lab tested. I prefer companies that do home feeding trials with people's pets rather than lab testing. Does anyone know of good dog food companies that meet this criteria? I think Natural Balance is one. I've been feeding Nutro Max, but I don't know how their products are tested. Anyone else know?

Thanks.

I have heard that Nutro max does test, but I'm not completely sure. My mom feeds her dogs a completely raw diet, which has actually cured many of their medical problems. She does use meat (I don't know how you feel about this with your animals), and yeast, vegetables, etc. It takes some effort. But, there's a lot more that goes into your animals food than animal testing. She's done a ton of research on this topic. Have you ever had an animal put to sleep at the vets office? You know how they ask you if you are going to dispose of your pets body or if you would like them to do it? Well, a large amount of those deceased pets get put into dog food (body bags included). Plus, all of the preservatives, etc. Plus, animals ate raw food when they were in the wild, so it makes sense.:hungry:

I did post in the other thread, but I will post here also in case you don't read the other one. I buy Natural Balance, which does not do lab testing and I buy the Vegetarian formula, which is actually vegan ingredients.
