I am looking for advice on traveling with my cat.
she will be flying with me in the cabin, on a nonstop flight; about 6 hours.

I am cautious about sedation as she is only 8 lbs, so I am looking into Feliway as an alternative. she also is immune to catnip, so I don't know if rescue remedy will work.
If anyone has any advice regarding sedation or these other products, It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

it kinda depends on the personality of your cat. I have one who could fly with me in the cabin without any sedation with no problems what so ever.

And then we have one who freaks out when he has to travel in a carrier for longer than 5 minutes.

Feliway may be a good alternative to sedation. But talk to your vet.

MEM: she is okay in the car when she's loose. not a nevous type cat at all. She doesn't like the carrier(it takes her to the vet) and tends to pace in it and try to get out. My vet says we can sedate her a little but she always takes so long to come out of it, and that worries me.

I don't care if she howls the whole way there, I just don't want her to be afraid.
