10 mile run on Sat. the weather was very cool and the colors are fabulous right now....a beautiful run! Today I did my exercise class...I will be sore tomorrow.
anni, that's a great workout good for you!!!:vebo:
Captain, hehehe....ya, I went to the web site, 6am is an early start. But it should be cool, temp wise. My concern is the dryness and the possibility of heat later in the morning...which is when I will be finishing. I don't think it should be to bad, but I've never been there in Dec. I know that March can be cool sometimes so I think Dec. won't be to warm. I'll be training in temps from 65 to 20 degrees, but it could always get colder. Still not signed up...I'll let you know.
Go Hamsters :rockon:

I can't tell ya about dryness. I live in the desert region of so cal (near Palm Springs). I don't think it is as dry as vegas but I never notice anything there when I go since I am used to dry conditions. :D
I think the record high for vegas on december 4th is 75 or something like that so no matter what the weather is, I'll be happy. There is a message board attached to the marathon website and I think there was a thread there all about the weather. I was there in Dec once and also once in Nov over Thanksgiving and we froze our butts off!
~~~
Anni, you are doing great!
Hi Hamsters, 3 mile run on Tues., exercise class on Wed. I strianed my hip flexor at exercise class so I've taken off today and probably will until Sun. when I have a 16 mile run planned.
Kimberly, hehehe....I just picked up the CD of Queens greatest hits today to have a look. I realized I had all those songs and could put them togehter on my mp3 or my ipod so I didn't buy it. I went to see Mamma Mia in Las Vegas when I was there last. I love ABBA.
Captian, Yah, the humidity is the big difference. I've been to and have run in LV a few times, and it is the dryness that bothers me. The altitude is about 1000 ft higher and I suppose it will have some affect, but the difference in humidity is still the greater consern. I checked tonight and the humidity here is 93% which seems rediculous because it is really dry out and my hair is not all frizzy. The humidity in LV is 51%. I'm used to breathing water.
Go Hamsters!!!!:nana: :up:
How was Mamma Mia!? I haven't seen it yet. I think I just wanted a CD with cool ABBA songs on it. :D I love Queen. They're one of my favorite bands.
Today was 30 more minutes of dancing; this time to the Cabaret soundtrack. You can do a nice Charleston to that one. :nana:
Well, I took it easy since Wed. so I hope the hip holds out tomorrow. It's supposed to be in the 40's and raining....not looking forward to it :no:
Kimberly, We liked Mama Mia alot. I love Queen too, I saw them in concert many moons ago. Great workout!
Anna, the cooler weather is so much nicer to run in....but not mixed with rain...then it's just yucky. :) I agree about the biking...brrrr that gets cold. I do see people out all winter in it though. Not for me thanks. Great run and a great ride!
Go Hamsters!!! :nana: :pibo: :hamster:
