I cannot give a link to the discussion forum this post is about, because it also links to a porn forum and web-site.

Have any of you heard of the recent arrest of Christopher Wilson, an American who asked the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan to send him war photos in exchange for free access to his porn site.

He advertised this as follows:

"If you are a U.S. Soldier stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan,
or any other combat area and would like free SUPPORTER
access for the site, you can post real pictures you or your
buddies have taken while you have been deployed...Just
post your pics like you normally would and when I see
them I will approve you for free access to the wife and
g/f area...Keep up the good work over there guys, we
love seeing your pics."

So on his forum with all the sexy porn pictures, he opened up a sub forum that he called "The Gory Ones - Pictures from Iraq and Afghanistan". And on this sub-forum, he posted all the pictures the soldiers would send him in exchange for free access to his porn web-site.

The site is still open because the server is not based in the United States.

This is what war is about. It's not clean and tidy like they like to show you on Television. If anyone wants a link to the web-site, I will send it to them by Private Messaging only, but you must keep in mind that not only is the rest of the site porn (which I did not visit and do not plan to, so I can't say how graphic it is, but I reckon a porn site is a porn site), but also keep in mind that some of the pictures are absolutely absolutely horrifying. When I say absolutely horrifying, I mean it. What you've seen up to now about Abu Ghraib for instance, is just a children's playground.

BUT THAT IS WHAT SPREADING DEMOCRACY IS ALL ABOUT!!!!!

Sex, blood and rock 'n roll... :gun: :gun: :gun:

These blogs have some interesting insights into Wilson's mind-set.

You can find more stuff if you Google. The armytimes.com website has this to say:

This whole thing leaves me very uneasy. I can understand that putting porn and war together on the same website could be considered appropriate, as both are highly obscene.

At the same time, this guy says he's not anti-war, and voted Bush. So I don't think he's trying to make a political statement.

What kind of statement is he trying to make here? Or is he just a sicko?

I don't see how two obscene things can be so easily grouped together myself, but such sites as rotten.com come to mind which I refuse to visit. I have no interest in making light of peoples suffering, although I can understand morbid curiosity.

I have a very visual mind and memory, so I really try to avoid seeing such things as real gore as the image will be stuck in my mind for years.

I think the idea of trading gore for porn is a bit twisted in its nature, but not opposed to it.
