Well..my dog liked it. The texture is beyond weird and it doesnt come that close to real jerky <sigh>

BTW..my avatar isnt me. It's a picture of my daughter at the renaissance faire = )

Stonewall's is my favorite veg jerky. The one I don't care for is Primal Strips, it's like sucking wet bbq sauce out of the package. But other people seem to love them.

I don't like Stonewall's jerquee or Primal Strips. I've also tried two other soy jerky brands I found at Whole Foods whose names have escaped me at the moment. One I didn't like either (but my cat did), the other was sorta OK, just not that exciting. (Sabrina liked that one, too). They were both teriyaki flavor, which I love, but the teriyaki flavor didn't really do much for them.

My favorite still remains Tofurky Jurky (original flavor). Tofurky Jurky rocks! :guitar:

My favorite jerky is from How It All Vegan. There are a couple recipes but I always make the hawaiian one. It it time consuming but sooo worth it. :lick:

I didn't like Primal Strips at all. Stonewall's was ok but the texture weirded me out, it was too dry. Tofurky Jurky is my favorite by far. :lick:

Stonewall's "Original Wild" is the only one I like. The other Stonewall's flavors taste weird to me. Primal Strips are wet and sticky (bleah) and inappropriately sweet like the Tofurky and others.

I love all jerky. It is one of my fav vegan foods. Today I had a pepporoni stick which I was scared to eat for a long time, but it turned out to be pretty good.

Stonewall jerquee tastes just like that cheap jerky that comes individually wrapped in in a can. I like it okay, and it would be good for backpacking, but I don't go out of my way.

I personally LOVE Primal Strips, even though it is very messy. I've never had the chance to try tofurky jerky.

Stonewall's is definately a weird texture and mouth feel. Tofurky is the best for me. I just got How it all Vegan and am gonna try theirs out today. Hope it's good cause it does look like a chore!

I loooooove Stonewall's. Only the original flavor, though. The others are weird.

Primal Strips are okay, and I can't remember if I've ever tried Tofurky Jurky or not. It's not carried by the local HFS so prob. not.

Stonewalls is weird. Very kibble-like... edible, but only barely...

I love Primal Strips (most of them, anyway - some are better than others), and Tofurkey Jerkey, does, indeed, rock :notworthy::guitar:

I love Stonewall's Jerkey when it's fresh! I've bought a few packages now and then that have not been fresh for some reason and it was pretty bad (too tough, not as flavorful), but when they're fresh, mmmmman they're good.

I kind of like Tasty Eats soy jerky. Some people are grossed out by it because it's pretty convincing, but it's a yummy snack. Teryaki is good.

Tofurky Jurky is actually the closest that I've had to the texture and taste of jerky as I remember it. However, I was never really a big jerky eater back when I was omni. So, it's just okay. It'll do in a pinch if there's not much else that I can find. I really like the Primal Strips, probably moreso because they aren't really like jerky. They're just a nice flavorful snack. They have a really nice chewy texture. The Seitan Mesquite Lime flavor actually tastes sort of like a seasoned chicken strip, imo. They're not dry enough to be considered a proper jerky, but of the snacks that fit into that category, I like them the best. I think Stonewall's tastes like butt crack.:moonpie: Not that I've personally sampled butt crack, but I can imagine that's what it might taste like, only with fewer spices and seasonings. I tried some of the Original flavor just the other day, and nearly gagged. I ate about 2 or 3 pieces from a small bag and had to throw the rest away. The texture is just weird and wrong, and the taste... well, I've explained the taste.

Stonewall's isn't my favorite all by itself, but I have made some convincing "pizza puffs" with the pepporoni flavor. Primal Strips I hated -- they smell/look/feel too much like raw meat for me.

Tofurky Jerky is good, but my overall favorite is Vegan Dream's original hickory pepper -- very dry and chewy, but good enough that I order it by the pound.
