A Dehydrator is real frugal, pays for itself in a few weeks, depending upon use.
Share your experience with a dehydrator here. It helps me be more Vegetarian/Vegan.
Dehydrator manuals can be downloaded from www.nesco.com

I've wanted one for some time, so I can make my own backcamping foods.
*must remember to buy one

Here's a website with camping foods, but many of the foods are good to get set up and bring to work, too. Lots of vegetarian recipes.

Another really good way to dehyrate food is to get a few (CLEAN) furnance filters from the hardware store, cut the food into strips, place inside the filters, and bungee-cord them to a box fan. Run the fan for a few hours until the food is dried out.
