I know that both of these brands are cruelty free, and i've used Tigi control freak products before..

i guess what I am wondering here is.. for those of you who have used one or the other, do you have a preference and why?.. i have baby-fine hair (i kid you not, it's UBER fne) that is wavy and I'm in the process of growing it out. my hairdresser gave me some samples of paul mitchell, and I need to buy shampoo soon..

any suggestions?... i use salon stuff because OTC hair care products have a tendency to give my scalp rashies... Back to Basics, Paul Mitchell, Tigi, and Aveda don't...

I like. No love, TIGI. I have used it for about 2 years. I prefer it, just for the simple fact that the shampoo I use smells like ice-cream and the spray I use for heat protection smells like summer berries.
I've had PM before, it's nothing to rave about, but it's alright.

Not really sure why, but I get the feeling PM is probably healthier for you, but TIGI's products are just.. sooooo.... preeettyyyy..... all the bright colors and yummy smells and neat-o packaging....

Wow, I am a drone. I'm falling for their clever marketing ploy. Nonetheless, they are both way out of my price range, but in the off chance I decide to splurge and buy myself a designer haircare product this year, I would definitely go for the TIGI. I forget what it's called, but I've used the clarifying shampoo that goes along with the Mac Daddy Manipulator goop (smells like Pina Colada.. mmmm) which was nice, but I don't really need it anymore since I don't really use styling products. The orange Vitaminy one (also forget the name) was good too, but a little too stripping for my hair. My boyfriend swears by the Manipulator and it is really nice.. smells very yummy and makes his hair stand straight up without turning it to a crisp.

I've used PM's Detangler in the past and it worked kinda OK but smelled like antibiotics or something.

I've always had dry hair, although I don't know why because I don't blow dry it or use chemicals on it. Anway, I tried Paul Mitchell moisture shampoo and conditioner and it was just awful on my hair. I think it even made it more dry. I just switched to TIGI's moisture shampoo and conditioner and it's amazing! My hair instantly looked and felt better. So...yay TIGI!
