I recently went to the living desert with my family, and although I was impressed by their new health facility (One of the biggest and the best in the west) and their determination for releasing the animals that were rescued from the wild with injuries, the enviroments that the captive ones were i were so small... the meerkats were in a small cage, and there were only three, and the mountain lion, well, you could see thew pain on it's face. It and the dingo kept pacing and pacing... (notice a couple of those mentioned are not Californian natives? Thry also have 3 giraffes, that have what seem to me a small place, but I AM used to the Wild Animal park.....
Speaking of the San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park, I need to go see the Pygmy Marmosets... their my favorite to visit:)
