There are several along a street in Snohomish and I'd love to know what it is.

I don't know, but it is very pretty!

No, mimosas have much different, fern-like foliage and the flowers are big powder puffs.

I could try to identify it, but I would need a closer photo (or a detailed description of leaf size, shape and pattern), where it's growing, and what time of year it had those blooms on it.
It could be an Ailanthus, or tree-of-heaven, which is native to China and is extremely invasive. One native gardener has called it "the tree of heaven I'd sooner see in hell."

Hmmm. I looked up some photos of Ailanthus and the flowers don't seem quite right. I have several other, closer photos up now

I dunno, I looked at all the photos in different sizes and I still can't make out what the leaf arrangement is. It may not be in my book anyway.
