Hi everyone,

I'm a partner in an Australian vegan business. We are currently looking for a company (must be cruelty free and registered with a cruelty free organisation in their home country) that sells vegan lipstick in a wide range of colours.

We are especially on the look out for a lipstick range in way out punky colours like black and purple etc. as these are extremely hard to find vegan.

Can some lovely veggieboard people from any country direct me to some likely candidate companies?

We would be ever so grateful...so would our Aust customers!

Cheers!

This is a website that lists a wide variety of companies that don't test on animals. The companies with stars next to them don't use animal products in the creation of their products. No Miss is a company that makes funky lip colors, but they don't make black.

This website lists some more links, and ways that she keeps her goth look up while staying vegan. Lots of good info you might want to look through.

I would email Manic Panic about their lipsticks. They have the best range and variety of punky colors. I know for a fact they don't test on animals, I just don't know if their lipsticks contain beeswax or not.

If you find anything out, I would be interested in knowing. I've been using eye liner and lip gloss on my lips because I can't find vegan black lipstick.

I heard that the girls who made Manic Panic are vegan, and almost all of their products are. (They even bothered to make vegan boas)

Thanks for the tips guys!

Unfortunately No Miss use beeswax in their lip products, the colours are great but they aren't vegan.

I've checked out all the sites from the morbid outlook page, while some of the lipsticks are vegan, the colour range is very restricted.

I've heard of Manic Panic products before, and I know that at least some of their hair colours are vegan, will check out their makeup as well.

Will keep everyone posted!

Cheers!

Hi guys,

I’m a partner in a vegan business in Australia called Vegan Revolution.
We are on the lookout for vegan lipsticks in punky colours (EXTREMELY hard to find!) and we were wondering if your lipsticks are vegan (i.e. contain no animal products including beeswax, carmine, lanolin etc.).

Can you let me know? I’m really hoping they are as the colour range is great!
Cheers and have a lovely day!

Yeah!

It's really made my day!

I think you might be right Sokara, I think those punky gals Tish and Snooky may well be vegan vixens!

I so love this board and the people that lurk here!

hugs!

Well now I know I can buy a tube of Manic Panic lipstick and keep my eye liner on my eyes instead of my lips.

I've never used their products before to give a testimonial, but there is StarGazer (http://www.stargazer-products.com/store.php?product_id=81&store=whole), which is very, very similar to Manic Panic and I think also a little cheaper. It says in their FAQ that none of their products are tested on animals and all except a few eye colors and bleach kits are made with vegan ingredients. They look pretty cool.. might be worth checking out. I'd actually like to try some of their stuff for myself..
