Anyone use Method products? What do you think about them? Do they get the job done for you? I'm trying out the dish liquid....it seems to be doing the job well. If you're lost, here's their website: http://www.methodhome.com/

i use their laundry detergent. i haven't had any problems with it, but i'm not washing anything really dirty.
i got some of their hand wash, too, because i liked the scent (mandarin + bergamot) and the bottle shape, but i haven't used it yet.

The laundry detergent rocks. It cleans really well. The dishwashing cubes are good. I like the dishsoap too, but the best to me is the all purpose cleaner. It cleans, but smells great! All in all, I'm quite satisfied with method.

Looking at their site makes me wish I was a neat freak.

 I know what you men Cass. I can't help but want to clean if I see my bottle of Method grapfruit all purpose spray sitting around. However, I didn't care for the scent of the lavender floor cleaner. It smells identical to an ex-boyfriend's laundry detergent... Scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees doesn't need to be any less fun than it already is. I don't need those memories creepin' in. :p

Are Method products veg*n? Their website says they don't support animal testing, but it doesn't say if they use any animal ingredients in their products. Do their labels have more info?

Animal Ingredients
Do any of method's products contain animal ingredients and/or by-products?
All of method's products are animal-free (including our liquid fabric softener, which contains canola oil instead of tallow) with the exception of the dryer sheets, which do in fact contain tallow.

Animal Testing
Does method test its products or any of its raw materials on animals?
The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics defines animal testing as "all testing of finished household products, or any one or more ingredients or formulations used in the manufacturing or production of such products in which whole non-human animals are the test subjects, including without limitation, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and non-human mammals. Animal testing excludes in vitro tests or tests conducted completely with human volunteers."
method's products have and continue to be free of animal testing. Our commitment can be traced all the way back to the raw materials' suppliers of method's products. The CCIC (Leaping Bunny Organization) awarded method the Certificate of Appreciation for our cruelty-free stance, and we have signed the Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals, which is affiliated with PETA, along with other national animal protection groups. method can be found listed on PETA's website as well as in their current Shopping Guide for Caring Consumers.

I use Method laundry detergent, hand soap, and spray cleaner.
- The detergent works well and smells good, but the container is sort of messy. Not the most functional. I use it anyway.
- The hand soap is great. No complaints.
- The spray cleaner is good for everyday cleaning, but for stuck on grime or stains I've found that I either need to repeat several times or go to a tougher product.

Thanks for the info, Jinga! I will check to see if Method products are available at my local Whole Foods.
(Tallow in dryer sheets - who knew?!)

You're welcome :)
I'm not sure Whole Foods carries Method. I usually get mine at Target. My conventional grocery also carries the stuff.

Is the shower spray any good? I've seen it on the shelf and was a bit hesitant to try it

We have the handsoaps here and love them. I am not a big fan of scents, so some of their scents bother me. But, I love citrus and green tea scented stuff. I need to buy some cleaners this weekend, so I will probably try more of the line now that I read that it actually works. I was using Trader Zen and while it works somewhat, the smell bothers me a bit.

I love the products especially since I dont have to worry as much about my cats getting hurt by it. My cats like to get in the bath tub on occasion so I started using the shower spray & I dont have any complaints its works as good as any but less toxic.
I dont use the cucumber all purpose cleaner though I just dont like the smell. I miss the bamboo all purpose though

I use the floor cleaner which works well and has a citrus scent. I've tried the dish soap and found it not to lather that well so I had to use more than usual. And although visually I liked the design of the bottle, it wasn't very practical.

I use it and like it. It's good for keeping down mildew and odor. Just spray after each shower and leave. You need to start from tiles that have been hand cleaned though.
Overall, Method products are awesome. They've recently fixed the problem with their laundry detergent bottles. The lavender handwash is a little bit of heaven. The stainless steel cleaner doesn't work on my fridge, but then again, the last 4 brands I've tried dont' either. Their customer service rocks too. I gave them some feedback and they sent me a ton of coupons.

I've read that the actual lather is not what cleans the dishes, but that the chemical that makes it lather could be potentially unhealthy. Not positive on this, so I'll have to go look it up.
Also- I really like the shower cleaner. It works well, smells very clean, and it won't hurt our kitties. :)

I like most products Method makes: the hand soap, candles, plug-in air freshners and bathroom cleaner but I have found that the laundry detergent doesn't work as well as Tide (a favorite). After going through a bunch of posts on here I did find out that Kirkland (Costco's house brand) is not tested on animals and doesn't contain animal products - it does a pretty good job and is available in powder and liquid versions. Also, it's LOTS cheaper than other cruelty-free brands (I'm going broke staying out of moral bankruptcy!!!). Yes, it does contain phosphates :(

I always thought Method was Target's brand name... I didn't realize it was a national brand. I guess I've just never seen Method products anywhere but Target.

I think Method first launched its product line in Target as a test, and then decided to distribute to other stores as well after positive results.

Method products only recently appeared where I live. I bought an all-purpose surface cleaner. The products are not cheap, about $6-8 a bottle, but it's still cheaper than brands like seventh generation etc.
