What are you guys asking your parents for for the holidays/upcoming birthdays?

I'm asking for a Palm pilot for Xmas. Even though there are many more things on my wishlist, like a Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh, or a Macintosh 128k, or a Bandai Pippin prototype, I know that the Palm pilot is the most logical thing to ask for, as it probably is the cheapest, and easiest to find. All others are collectible macs, and the pippin is an Apple game console.

I'd like a new comforter for my bed since I plan to paint my room sometime soon. But I could live without that. I think it would be nice to go a holiday season without getting gifts, for once.

First comes christmas, then comes birthday.

All I really want is, a tape recorder, that sony dvd handycam camcorder, and a digital camera.
An extra $250 on the side would hurt either(at least not me..my parents bank accout on the other hand, not so fortunate.).. :D

My parents don't believe in Hannukah gifts really (maybe I'll get a book if I'm lucky), but my birthday is in November. I'm hoping for some CDs, books, a 20 GB iPod would be nice but unrealistic, some funky nail polish, bright non-pink socks (especially knee socks), brown or grey low top chucks.

I'm sure I could keep going, but I'll stop so I don't sound even more materiealistic than I am :p

I also really want a nice purse for school, from either Guess or Nine West.

I also want a decent Office program, and some extra RAM for my computer. I could also ask for a graphics card, an audio card, a processor upgrade, a new Hard Disk Drive, and a lot more upgrades. I still want the Palm more than any of those things.

I've been asking my dad for a digital camera for ages. He still hasn't gotten me one. I'm not picky about it, I just need it to not take blurry pictures and be 1 to 2 megapixels.

A gift certificate to the gas station, to the HFS and to Books-A-Million, I'd rather do my own shopping.

I have this really neat idea for my next birthday, but it wouldn't work unless there was a semi-large turn out (at least 5 people total). I think it would be awsome if everyone bought a gift certificate of $5-10 to their favorite LOCAL and DOWNTOWN store and plase it in an envelope, and then we can mix up the envelopes and everyone takes one, if you get one to a gift shop then you spend the money their on yourself, if you pull one to the ice cream palor then you get to eat ice cream etc. This way we can all hang out, support locals, learn something new about someone else, and I'm not the only one getting pressents. What do you think?

I think that the best and least popular gift certificate is you can get/give is the AMEX gift card or the VISA gift card. I saw them on TV and I thought they were so awesome. I haven't seen them or heard of them anymore though.

I don't know why, but I've always thought that AMEX is so much classier than VISA. Maybe it's because almost every bank out there makes VISAs and AMEX is independent. I want to get an AMEX when I get a credit card!

A juicer! <3
The entire contents, pretty much, of thinkgeek.com
And, um, a new desktop computer. Yeah, that might be a bit OTT. But, it is my birthday soon after Christmas, so I can dream.

I want a DVD player that plays XviD files - I have more than 150 hours of video I can only watch on my father's PC. That's about it. :)
