Pita Chips

This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet.

Category: Breads




Ingredients:

Round pitas, cut in 8 pie-shaped wedges




Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned, turning once. Place pita chips in a large serving bowl. Serve with Almond Cinnamon Hummus.

Total calories per serving (1/4 of pita): 41
Fat: <1 gram

Making pita chips actually takes me up to 15 minutes, and these are thin ones.

Another thing: put something on them! I use cooking spray to make salt stick. Cinnmon and sugar is also pretty good, and I'm sure some spices would work well.

this a low cal alternative that I never thought of for dipping. I wonder how this would work for nachos..?
