Okay, I had enough of this. All I do is simply go to yahoo messenger to speak with other vegetarians in the Health Lobby, mostly Health Lobby1. Every time I ask to speak with vegetarians, people react disrespectful by saying that vegetarians are weak minded and that god put animals in this world for us to eat. People started saying how vegetarians are weak minded, and this is why I came here. Maybe some of you who use yahoo messenger might want to join me in this Health Lobby1 room and fight back in what we really believe?

And I was in the chat discussion and still do not understand why these people started attacking me for no good reason. You would think that vegetarians would go to a Health chat room. However, in this case, people started saying how being vegetarian is " weak minded," and I still do not fathom why they would say such a thing.

Because they are weak hearted.

If it is weak minded to have both the compassion to see that what is being done to today's livestock animals is wrong and the courage to do something about it, then I'm proud to be weak minded. The world needs more weak minded people.

If we were weak-minded, then we would simply follow what other people had to say and eat meat because they wanted us to. It sounds to me like they would rather us be weak-minded.

People are threatened by those who are different. By being different, you call into question the "rightness" of *their* decisions. This makes them defensive. So they immediately start insulting.

BTW if they are arguing from a Christian perspective, - "god put animals here for us to eat" - they aren't allowed to call you "weak minded." Jesus sez.

Who cares what they think? All you're doing is giving them what they want. And if you act defensively that will reflect negatively on vegetarians too. Either way you're screwed and they really don't want to learn anything. Talk to vegetarians here or on another board.
