I brought him inside and he has some kind of mites on his ears? or something, thats all I can think of but he has like some tried blood spots on on top of his ears.
i have some medicine for ear mites, but it's for ones that are like internally in the ear.
so I dont know what I'm supposed to do about this? I'm going to give him a bath tommarow so that might make it go away?

when they scratch they usually scratch the outside of the ear a few times before getting the paw inside the ear to scratch at the bites. the dried blood is probably from him scratching the skin open with his own claws, it's really common with earmite problems. look inside, is there dark junk in his ears?
it also may be fleas, get a fine toothed comb and comb him especially around the neck area and check the comb after each time to see if any fleas come out on it..
but when in doubt go to the vet :)

Tea tree oil is a very effective treatmemt for ear infections & mites.
Cleared my handsome hounds ears totally.
Another good skin treatment is hempseed or cannabis seed oil - absolutely great for most skin problems, both human & canine.
Hope ya woofas better by now...

Spaz, could it be flies biting the tips of the ears?
For a minute there I thought you were my mom. She has a dog named Max and her cat's nickname is Spaz :p
I'd wait to see if the spots stick around or get any worse. If they don't go away, call your vet (many will give advice for free, and let you know if you need to pay for a visit or not).

So, what was it? Hopefully cleared up since it's been a week. Is he normally an outside dog? Sounds like fly bites.
