Chicago nonprofit Protecting Animals, USA is currently merging with national nonprofit Mercy for Animals. We are offering a paid internship to help us transition into our new office and add more vegetarian outreach opportunities. The internship is a three- month commitment with minimum of 8 hours a week spent at our office at 3435 Broadway. Interns receive a financial stipend based on their experience (starting at $250) as well as an acting reference for future job or school applications.

Based on what the intern is comfortable with and good at, some of the duties might include:
-Approaching vegetarian-friendly businesses in about stocking our vegetarian eating brochure
-Maintaining the stockpiles at these businesses, either by filling them directly or organizing other volunteers to do so
-Tabling for us on local college campuses
-Maintaining our database
-Researching and co-writing grant proposals
-Fundraising by telemarketing and canvassing
