Or did VB just spontaneously shut down for awhile?

For about an hour my server couldn't find the VB server, I was reduced to real life for a while :D

Yeah, for awhile there, I couldn't even load the main page. I had a friend check it from a school computer just in case it was only my computer.
Sorry for the multiple "startings" of this thread.

At least, since VB wasn't working, I had no excuse not to interview my subject for this final project in my Hispanics class. I went to my neighbor's house and had a grand time hearing about Puerto Rico!

When I finally managed to get back on after VB wasn't working, I was SHOCKED to read that there were 0 (that's right, ZERO!) new posts since my last visit! That's when I really knew for sure that no one had been able to post.

I'm just guessing, but maybe it got overloaded. That happens on some of the other forums I visit. One forum smartly forwards the person to a page where they can buy merchandise to support the site so they can afford more bandwith!

Well, remember how we wanted to get back at Mike for his April Fool's joke on us? Maybe someone hacked into the server or something....
But the overloading sounds much more reasonable and likely.

Y'know, while VB wasn't responding, I think I had the slightest feeling what the VWers must have felt like when they realized that their board was no more.

Not sure. I doubt that it was overloaded. The person I need to ask isn't online right now. I'll let you know when I hear something.

I was lost without my new friend! I was happy to see it back again. :)

From what I was told... it was a router issue.

Remain calm, kids. Most of the active are already here.

Most of those people signed up to view other parts of the site. No way I'd be able to afford that many people so I wouldn't have taken this on if I had thought we'd get anything close to that.
