OK I got my chives growing nicly in the house but the problem is how to I get some ? Do I cut them from the top or do I pull?

I would cut them. You want to try not to damage the roots too much, and try not to cut them back so much that they die.

Cut them. I've read cut from the top; I've also read cut at the base - not sure which is better. But as long as the root is undisturbed, it will keep on growing new chives - yummy!
