Hi, I was wondering if you guys've heard of FSM yet. Basically, its in response to the Kansas ID business, this person from Oregon has "created" FSM, which believes in a giant , flying, spaghetti monster that created everything. FSM is depicted as having two large meat balls as part of the structure, and many noodly appendages, and two big googly eyes.

OPEN LETTER TO KANSAS SCHOOL BOARD

I am writing you with much concern after having read of your hearing to decide whether the alternative theory of Intelligent Design should be taught along with the theory of Evolution. I think we can all agree that it is important for students to hear multiple viewpoints so they can choose for themselves the theory that makes the most sense to them. I am concerned, however, that students will only hear one theory of Intelligent Design.

Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It was He who created all that we see and all that we feel. We feel strongly that the overwhelming scientific evidence pointing towards evolutionary processes is nothing but a coincidence, put in place by Him.

Oh yes, Flying Spaghetti Monster is getting quite famous.

The FSM is all knowing and powerful.

I did hear they've uncovered some saucy pictures of him rolling in marinara...how scandalous!

Even as an atheist I've found the flying spaghetti monster quite appealing as a religion.... ;-)

As a veg*an, I'm afraid I have to announce that I have not had the experience of feeling the spirit of the holy meatballs within me. However, there is a splinter group that I'm particularly interested in, that of the Divine Church of the Veggie Meatballs. Yes, I admit, this particular sect seems to be a bit watered down in its appreciation of the Most Holy on High Flying Spaghetti Monster (no cattle sacrifice to the FSM is required and neither is ownership of a Holy Boning Knife for use in FSM rituals), but I swear there is still strong enough belief in the FSM to make this a legitimate FSM church...

My church belives that the FSM doesn't have meatballs. The FSM is vegan and that's why we believe in veganism.
