After doing a search in this forum, I realized there wasn't much written about Earth Science products. Does anyone have any reviews or opinions about this company?
I just bought a few products yesterday and here's my brief (and premature) review of some of them (I'll report more later after using them for a week!):
Fragrance Free Shampoo: first of all let me say that finding a 17oz bottle of "natural" shampoo for $5 seems like a steal! Claims it's for all hair types. My hair isn't exactly the best subject because it is coarse and I have dyed it recently. Seems to do its job well..nothing "incredible" but I don't expect that from a $5 product. The cool thing is because it's unscented, you can make it any scent you want if you have some essential oils around. I put two small drops of lavender essential oil and one big drop of geranium essential oil in the bottle. It smells like an Aveda product now! Yummy:D
Fragrance Free Conditioner: the store was sold out of this so I hope to get some online so I can report that as well!
Clarifying Facial Wash: 8oz for around $6.50. the ingredient panel reads like a dream and it claims to be pH balanced and gentle. It left my face a little dry and parched. One criticism I have is Earth Science only has two skin types available for their facial washes. This "combination-oily" clarifying wash and another that is for dry skin. Nothing available for "normal" skin:(
ALoe Vera Complexion Toner/Refresher: same price as facial wash. This was the only toner the store had from this company. It's for "dry/sensitive" skin. It's alcohol free and contains a lot of glycerin (non-animal ingredients) so it has a thicker consistency. Works well but I need to see if they carry one for my normal/combination skin.
Liken Plant Natural Deodorant (stick): 2.5oz for $4.50. doesn't exactly glide well on my underarms. I tested it on my forearm and it does glide well there. The scent is rather light so I don't think it would stand up to a tough summer or active day without needing to be re-applied (in contrast to Tom's Calendula stick). It might do well during the other times of year.
Will report more later!:)
