Who has ever had a jerk for a boyfriend?
I have. Mine's named S***** and he is a chauvenistic pig.
He doesn't think I should go to college, and thinks I should be a housewife. But I am so bad at breaking up with people!!!! How should I call it quits? What are your bad experiences? :help:

you know, i'd be surprised if anyone HASN'T had a jerk for a boyfriend. the easiest way to break it off, well that's up to you but "screw off" tends to work

yeah, but we are all conformist christians, and not allowed to cuss or say anything mean.

Do it over the phone.

Just say "I'm sorry, *name*, but this isn't working out. I'm ending this." Or some variation. Short and sweet.

Ha, ha, his parents are worried about flirting over the phone, whatdoyoucallit, phone sex or something, so his mom or dad would be listening. what about a note.

someone who believes every bit of the bible and follows everybody else's interpretations

That's his problem if his parents are listening in. Heck, even all the better - he can't say anything mean or manipulative back.

You could use a note, but they tend to be problematic...

Notes just come off as really unconfident. Like: Hey, I kinda don't want to be with you, but feel free to ask me all about it and try and make me change my mind. The more confident you are about it, the cleaner the cut.

How about, "I don't want to go out with you anymore because we have very different views of the world. Bye."

So what if his parent's are listening? Like an above poster said, that's his problem, not yours. "I have to break up with you" is fine, or any variation on that. If he asks why, tell him you want someone who respects you.

someone who believes every bit of the bible and follows everybody else's interpretations

I know this is off topic, but how does that work? I mean, every has different interpretations, wouldn't following them all be confusing?

I'm not good at breaking up either, but I can tell you this much: Don't let him change your mind!! Whatever you do say to him, I am sure he will try to convince you otherwise. Stand strong! Good luck
