I noticed at the supermarket today that Yves has some new stuff...Italian sausages, Bavarian sausages, "chicken" and "beef" tenders...has anyone tried any of this stuff?

I love the Italian sausages! When I first tried them I posted here I was slightly disapointed...but time has proven that they are great grilled in a big bun with lots of onions and mustard etc. I've never eaten them alone as they still have a slight "yves hot dog taste." I bought the chicken tenders but haven't tried them yet. Let me know if you do!

I haven't tried the Bavarian flavour, but I can tell you that the Italian is fantastic. Being Italian, I can tell you that it's pretty close to an Italian type sausage.

Cordially,
Josef

See, this is what I was afraid of. I don't like Yves hot dogs at all...they kind of taste like Play-Doh. :p Maybe I will get brave and try the sausages sometime though.

The chicken tenders would be nice for chicken Caesars if they're good. I was kind of scared of those too though, because if they're anything like the Lightlife brand, ugh...have you ever tried those? If you have, maybe you can let me know how the Yves ones compare.

I finally tried the tenders, quickly seared them a bit and added to a wrap with a caesar-like salad- like a chicken caesar wrap, lol...was yummy!! I have only tried them this way, bulked it up a bit etc, and next time would be a stir fry possibly. I haven't tried any other similiar product to the yves tenders though. Hope you like them!

Someone told me the new Morningstar "Recipe Starters" (chick and beef "tenders") are actually made by Yves? I have no idea if this is true. (see my similar thread: http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?p=1029087#post1029087 )

These are different than the MSF chicken nuggets and such...

I checked the label of the Morningstar Farms ones, and they are made in Canada - just like Yves is... most other MSF items are made in the US... so I was just curious if anyone has tried both brands and can do a taste comparison... Not like it matters much? I can't get the Yves ones around here yet...
