Devastating. It seems this world doesn't hold anything sacred anymore. On Monday I'm heading off to work on an ape conservation project in Thailand, for my 3rd time there. These kind of projects prove that there are people out there who care, and who are doing something at the grass roots level for primates. It's a helpless feeling though when we're up against logging companies, over-development, and the illegal pet trade.

Truly, for their benefit, I hope they go extinct. With hunting them ruthlessly, locking them up in tiny cages for 60 years and torturing them in labs, and so on, they are better off not being born into a world with humans who will never treat them with respect.

Yeah, I do know what you mean...but i think when that day comes i'll kill myself - the world won't be worth living in anymore.

"There are now more than 20,000 humans on the planet for every chimpanzee."
Planet of Apes is no closer to reality then huh... Damn human domination.

:( I wonder if future generations will view us as barbarians.
