I have an apple tree in my back yard. I rent from my land lord. The apples usually just fall down and no one picks them. I sometimes take some. Some other people live in my house too but I do not know if they take some as well. Is it okay for me to take the apples since other wise they may fall to the ground? I did not ask my land lord. I thought if they were not eaten they would most likely go to waste. Does any one have some ideas of cheap recipes I could make/cheap ideas to us apples? Thanks. I ate some plain. They aren't very sweet. They are small mostly green a little red and sour.

Recipes depend on what kind of apples they are :-) I bet if you ask your landlord she/he would be thrilled for you to be taking some of them. Find out what kind of apple it is, I'm guessing though since you say it isn't sweet, that recipes that call for a lot of sugar and baking would be good ;-)

Sounds like a cooking apple. Apple sauce, apple pie, apple fritters, apple turnovers, etc etc...

Thanks. They remind me of the green sour apples I had before at the store. I think most of the low ones are gone. So there isn't much more I can get as I don't have a ladder.

also who needs a ladder, remeber thouse days as a young kid, climbing the trees. i find apples allways taste best when eaten in their own tree.
