I've had lots of bad stuff going on in my life that I've posted here. I've made friends here and on other message boards. I've gotten support from people onlilne who I have never met and it means so much to me. VB and another board and friends IRL and God have carried me through some of those tough times. I consider many of you an extention of my family. I just wanted to thank everyone for allowing me to vent gripe and call me out when I've been a bitch. I don't know what I would do without many of you. Thank you doesn't seem like enough. Cheers and blessings to you all. :)

Hehe, I can call mayuko stupid, and she knows I don't mean it literally 'cause she's like a member of my family, too.

:D I know just what you mean, catgirl. I also have several people that I consider online family, and I wouldn't trade them for the world.
 Group hug time!!

Catgirl, I can sooooo relate!
There are people online (a lot of them here on VB) whom I can share things with (good and bad), I get advice, understanding and support from them, sometimes better than my "real life" friends provide... and I'm glad they're willing to share their ups and downs with me as well!
:vebo: :nana: Yay for my online friends!

*chuckles* You know it, darlin'.
Got to stick my 2 cents in also. If it had not been for my "family" here, I would never have been able to go through this year's constant heart stopping emergencies. You blessed my life. You are all so precious to me.

I love my online family/friends as much as my real life ones, maybe that makes me lame, but I love you guys more than anything :smitten:

On-Line Friends are great. I am a newbie here but I belong to a few other boards where I have met some of the local on line friends - it's great. One suggestion to those who are particularly close and that you really trust. Get a phone number or a close friend of theirs email for emergencies. I have a on-line friend that I have known for 2 years and have not gotten a number. She recently had what she thought was a small stroke and was going for tests last Wed. I have not heard from her since last Tuesday and I am very worried. Stupidly, if I had at least had an emergency number (work?) or a friends (who lived close by) email I would know whats going on. Now I simply am waiting!
I guess in my roundabout way, I am saying have a "plan" in case of emergencies - I wish we had had one :(

I love VB and I love my online friends! I feel like I can be completely honest with them and they won't judge me. :smitten:

I can definitely relate to that...
without VB, I would, quite literally, most likely not be alive right now.
Wow - what a wonderful discussion. I'm fairly new, too, and have been so pleased by the amount of caring and generosity shown on this board. what a great group of people!

What is there to judge. We all are chuck full of flaws and failings. We have to hang together.
:lovesign: you too, catgirl. And life2K. Nice to see you again!

It's weird but I think the fact that I have VB to turn to has made me more secure as a whole person. I know that I can interact with strangers IRL because I've been able to have people to talk to here. I've come to understand, through VB, that opening up to others may not be as horribly painful as I once thought it to be. Thank you all for that :lovesign:

I've always liked you BAD. You remind me so much of my daughter. You're around the same age as Mandy and have the same personality. I don't get to see her that often so when you're here I feel a little closer to her :smitten:
omg you know whats creepy, my name is Amanda=Mandy.. well Blanch.Amanda.Dickie. however everyone calls me Amanda :sealed: spooky
