I saw this movie yesterday morning and I really enjoyed it. There were parts that were a little bit corny, but I don't really think that can be avoided in a movie trying to weave in fairy tales. I would defenitely reccomend that you all go see it

I must say I was a bit confused about:

Cavaldi. I didn't understand why they didn't kill him or something early on in the movie. He just caused trouble and nobody seemed to like him.

It's pretty good but doesn't much resemble the real Brothers Grimm.

Ohhh, I've been wanting to see that movie. If I do see it, I'll come back and post my review. ;)

...I hated this movie.
Not like when I saw Bewitched and walked out..more a deep seething crankiness at having wasted my money.

I was just getting into the whole Pagan-esque forest-y bit, really digging the trees and all, when the freaking gingerbread scene happened.

Stupidest. Scene. Ever.

I totally don't want to be a downer, but I couldn't help but throw in my opinion.
I won't nag on some of my other peeves, because I don't know how to do the cool black-box-spoiler html.

Yeah, this has gotten a lot of bad reviews. :( I love Terry Gilliam, so I was surprised, but after reading the reviews I can understand (I thought it looked bad from the trailers/clips anyway). I haven't seen it yet, and I don't know if I will.

I saw it today. It was weird, but overall, I liked it. I do give them credit for trying to make something unique and creative.

The sets and costumes were gorgeous. The atmosphere at the beginning of the movie was just great. I really liked Heath Ledger (sp?) and Matt Damon's performances too.

The gingerbread man scene....yeah, that was just ****ed up.

It was an alright movie, but there was a lot of things in it that didn't happen or completely wrong. I notice it the entire movie and it made it hard to enjoy. I rather read my book of Grimm Fairy Tales than the movie.

I've seen it twice in the theatre and once at home, and loved it more each time. Great movie! I never assumed it would be a factual representation of the Brother's Grimm life so I went into expecting full on that fact and fiction would be intwined into a story.

I was a little confused by the whole ending the first time I saw it, but I liked the movie enough that I went back again and paid closer attention to that storyline and it made a lot more sense. ... I actually really liked the gingerbread scene that everyone is dissing. ... The only scene I didn't care for was when the Brothers were flying around in the room towards the end of the movie. I also thought it was dumb that the mirror held everything together--but I guess I was able to forgive the stupidity of that point since, well, it's a fairy tale and that's how the story goes.Although I'm a huge Matt Damon fan I actually I found Heath Ledger's performance to be the better of the two and really liked his character.
