For all those who submit recipes, and to the moderators who check them and post them, I want to say a very big Thank You.

I've been having great fun looking through them and have been experimenting with them. So far, all have been really great.

Some of the ingredients I have problems understanding and some I can't find and have to think up equivalents, and I have to convert from ounces to grams and I still don't know how much a cup is. But with a bit of common sense, I have managed just fine.

Oh that's a great link. Now I also know that:

1) a scruple is equal to 20 grains (but a pennyweight is 24 grains)
2) a peck is 8 quarts
3) a cable is 120 fathoms
4) and that a minim is 1/20th of a dram (now I need to go and check what a dram is).

AND IT EVEN TELLS ME WHAT A CUP IS!!!! (Sorry for shouting, but this is quite a discovery!!!!)
