i couldn't find anything about them through search here, so i thought i'd bring them up for anyone interested.

their premise is vegan body-care products for men, but i think that shouldn't stop you if you're a non-man from trying their products. i have VERY sensitive skin and i tried their bluegrass soap (which has chlorophyll and parsley in for odour absorption) - I LOVE IT. the soap feels very soft, without being melty, and my chest which always breaks out straight away from even the mildest of soaps (i had been using lush before) hasn't broken out at all (knock on wood). i am eagerly awaiting to receive their deodorant to give it a try. i will report back here.

they say that they use recycled/recyclable packaging materials and soy ink, are cruelty-free, vegan, and if i remember correctly organic.

may i post a link to their site?

has anyone here tried any of their other products?

p.s. i only clicked about the play in the name a little bit ago (i pronounce the "H" in herb, but realised americans say 'erb - urban) i thought that is cute.

p.p.s. i did find one contradictory thing on their site - they sell a shaving brush made with boar bristle. maybe there is some explanation behind this. besides the boar bristle, i highly recommend the product (soap) i have used.

I picked up the Herban Cowboy dusk sampler yesterday at Loblaws in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

It has a small sized soap, underarm deodorant, shaving cream, after shave balm & body lotion, and body wash.

I thought it was a great idea to get people to try their products without having to commit too much money. And seeing as I'm going away next weekend, these will make for great travel sized items.

The deodorant smells great and seems to do the trick. Nobody has complained that I smell badly today. What more could you ask for?

I washed my hands with the soap. They started off dirty and finished off clean. Success!

I put on some after shave balm/lotion (not after shaving, just to test it out). My wife (who is not aliciam712) said it smelled, and I quote: "Amazing."

I showered at the gym today so the body wash...well...I don't know. I'll probably just use the soap in the future. It smells good. But body wash? I dunno. Sounds a bit girly to me.

The real test will be the shaving cream. I haven't used it yet. My face is prone to nicks and cuts when I shave so I'm a little worried. I'm sure whatever minor abrasions I incur will pale in comparison what animals who are tested on endure. But I'm still concerned. I'm not gonna lie.

Anyway, I'm impressed so far and plan to buy the full sized products as and when I need them. Just thought I'd post a little promotion in case anyone hasn't heard of them.

As for their website, I don't know what the rules are for that kind of thing. But if you're only 2% clever you could probably find it for yourself without too much effort.

As an aside, the woman who worked in the "health food" section of Loblaws overheard my wife and I talking. Turns out she's a vegan too, the first I ever met in the real world. So we had a nice little chat with her, which was cool. Especially since I was grabbing some Tom's of Maine stuff (this is the only place around me I know of who sells ToM products) and she's the one who showed me the Herban Cowboy stuff that just came in. So, yeah.

Cheers!

Speaking as a moderator (MOD NOTE), I see no reason why the OP can't post a link to their site, if only so other users can check out the products for themselves. If the OP is only recommending/reviewing the products and not trying to sell them, it wouldn't be considered spam.

So link away!

OH hell yeah... I bought H.C. for my boyfriend for Valentine's day... as far as I know, he likes it because he uses it almost everyday but I'd keep buying it and making him wear it even if he didn't! It smells really yummy... :trick: :hump: hehehe
