I hate drive-thrus. I see them everywhere. Now they have a drive-thru pharmacy. I don't know how that works but, whatever.

I wish they would take walk-ups and bike-ups.
I also wish the drive thru pharmacy would dole out to me duragesic fentanyl.

I went through a drive-thru on a bike, once. But this was in a small town, and my friend was really cute; the cashier was a teenaged male.

I don't really like drive-thrus in general. I like to be able to get to the menu, take my time looking over it, and be able to leave if I change my mind without too much trouble. And I can never hear the cashier talking to me properly. I know this is a general problem, but it's worse for me.

umm... actually I don't have an umbrella. that's why i go through drive-thrus when it's pouring. :p otherwise, fleece works just fine for the standard oregon drizzle :)

Since they're meant for cars, I think they suck. :)

I LOVE drive-thrus!! I got hooked on them when my two oldest were babies...

When it takes fifteen minutes to wrestle two fast-asleep toddlers out of their car seats, (I am not exaggerating here) fifteen more minutes of wrangling tired, cranky children in the pharmacy, photo-store or dry cleaners to complete a two minute errand, and another fifteen minutes to stuff those now-wide-awake, wiggly, unwilling little critters back into their carseats,...well........ you can begin to imagine why I developed a great fondness for all things drive-thru.

I've been known to drive fifteen minutes out of my way just to patronize a business that had a drive-thru. It's a "Mom" thing...

Actually, I saw the most hilarious drive-thru the other day >>> A drive - thru dry cleaners! Well, I thought it was quite amuzing but it may turn out that this is a normal thing in most places. Anyone else ever seen one / used one?

I don't like drive thrus. Too much pressure to decide what you want. I like to go inside a Tim Horton's or where ever and take my time and see what they got and decide what I want.

Most places don't allow it because it's a liability.

We don't have them in Switzerland. Except at some MacDonalds (so that means so far I hate them because I hate MacDonalds). I find the idea strange and stressful and extremely "foreign". My instinct tells me that I will not like them one single bit. I like small Mom and Pop shops where one chats to people in the queue (line) and can get to know people. Drive-throughs don't sound very chatty and friendly. (Also, why can't they be spelled properly, it's "through", not "thru".)

I just walk straight in. So far no one has stopped me. Granted it's only in one or two places where there was no other option. (Thinking of a drive-though only bottle shop not far from here).

I hate them with a passion. If I have to be stuck in one of those god-awful four-wheeled prisons I look for every opportunity to get out. Then I get stuck in a car with some drive-through fanatic who wants me to hand over my get out of jail free card in exchange for an opportunity to sit in my cell and idle for god knows how long. Bah!

And then there's the daily walk by the local Tim Horton's where I nearly get run over while trying to cut through the drive-through line up that stretches past the sidewalk and out into the street, breathing in the stench of a constant line of idling automobiles. I swear that place has it's own cloud.

When I'm with the kids, I only use places with drive thrus. It's not as bad now, as they are getting older and don't take 30 minutes to get out of the car, but it's so much easier then taking half the afternoon to get a snack.

They threaten to call the cops. Especially if I'm in a shopping cart, attempting to record our conversation.

You guys are so Canadian.

It must be a suburban mom thing. The only place in NYC that sometimes has a drive through is McDonald's, and yeah, I don't eat there. I have to pack up my son and schlep him through the city streets for something as simple as a loaf of bread. I don't even have a car, just a rusty old bike with a baby seat on the back. I guess we're super hardcore...:guitar:
