i haven't. i'd love to, but i don't know any yet. although, there are two VBers i'll be meeting soon.

it's something i've been thinking about lately. i would prefer dating a vegan, but it's hard to meet one. and there are cool meat eaters that are open to veganism, like my friend who goes to vegan restaurants with me and won't mind having vegan ice cream and such.

I met my sweetie right here on VB... YAY for VB!! :nana: :bobo:

I hadn't thought it would make all that much difference, since my ex had been omni, I figured I would be fine with dating another omni... (and when I came to VB, I was definitely NOT "looking" to date anyone anyway - but that's a story for a whole different thread...)

I know there are great people out there who are omni - Don't pass those opportunities up, if they're someone you find interesting...

But I have to say, I feel blessed. I'm dating someone who shares the same values and principles I do - he's wonderful and amazing and incredible, and on top of all those great qualities, he's vegan!! Doesn't get any better than that!!

I'm dating an omni who is willing to eat vegetarian food.

I have a lot of veggie friends, but a lot of them are female (and as I am not a lesbian.. they don't interest me in a dating capacity), and the males I just don't like *like that*

My last boyfriend was a vegetarian. We'd been friends for the better part of a year before I even went vegan, and he went vegetarian like 6 months after I was vegan. We started dating a few months after that. Pure coincidence really, and the fact that we had so freaking much in common I guess.

My boyfriend of (at the time) 5 years and I decided to go vegetarian together one day and never looked back. ;-) Years later, we're married, still veg, and plan to raise a little vegetarian family together ;-)

I have dated one vegan and he was a snob, and was always complaining about my (then, very limited) culinary skills. It was almost like he saw it as a competition 'who can make the most complicated sounding vegan dish', towards the end when he asked me what I had for tea I used to lie, because of the rection I'd have got when I admitted I'd only had vegetables and rice. He's then boast about his sauteed blah blah on a bed of blah blah with a side platter of...

So now I'm with an omni and he is lovely. I mean, the other day he had a £12.95 burger with bacon, chicken and deep fried onions - which I know would drive some vegans crazy but I really don't see it like that. I love him so much. Because he is him, not because of his diet/morals.
