I heard they have milk in them? Are there such things as vegan hamburger rolls because I didn't see them in the health food store.
Thanks.

I've seen vegan ones, but I don't remember the brand(s). Keep looking and reading labels... they do exist! (However, I'm not sure they'd call them "hamburger" rolls... maybe just buns).

Also, if you can buy wonderbread.....they use vegetable derived ingredients
Hamburger rolls are mostly vegan. I've never seen any that contain milk. Why would you put milk in bread? Though I've heard the US has a weird thing where they put milk in some breads. If you are worried about trace ingredients, some contian animal derived numbered ingredients though.

About nine-tenths of the bread labels (the supposedly whole-grain, seeds-and-nuts, hearty, healthy ones) I read contain whey. Burger buns too.
My question exactly - it's often like the last ingredient in the list ("contains 2% or less of...") so WHY do they need to put it in bread!?!
(Yes, I'm in the US btw)
Really? They all have whey over there? Weird. Why the hell do they do that?

Here in Victoria, Australia, about half of all bread contains milk solids. Emulsifiers 471 and 472 are in a lot of breads, too, and can be non-vegan.
The bread with fish in it gets me. Now why do they do that?!?

Several of the major brands contain honey too.
Our biggest brand in Texas, Mrs. Baird's, prides themselves on putting "real milk" in all their products and runs advertising proclaiming the fact.

Rudi's organic burger buns (white and whole wheat) are vegan.
I've seen a lot of store brands that were, too.

My girfriend once bought bread she thought were vegan but ended up containing (get this) lard.
