I like my cramps!

When I was a teen I had horrible backaches the first day of my period. I went on b/c and stayed on for about nine years--I didn't have any backaches or cramps during that entire time. But now I'm 4 or 5 months b/c free and last month and now again this month I'm getting the small twinges in my abdomen a week before. And you know what? I really like 'em! I feel "real" somehow.

Kind of weird, maybe. But they make me happy. :)

You know, I can't say that I love my cramps or my cycle, but I kind of understand where you're coming from here. I was on the pill for eleven years, and now that I'm off of them, I'm more aware of my normal cycle happenings and it makes me happy that everything is doing what it's supposed to. When I was on the pill, my period would come every month with very little fanfare. But now I recognize what's going on in there more. :)

i think it's the old 'knowledge is power' thing. you now have a deeper knowledge of and acceptance of your body and it's processes. this excites and empowers you. i think that's fantastic!

Weeeellll... If they're anything like the backaches I used to have, no. Those were terrible. But just a little pinching and tightening? Sure. I'm not quite certain how to arrange that though...

i hate cramps, but i do enjoy the natural-ness of being off of the pill.

I agree with banana. While the pill was the right option for me for a certain stage of my life, it is no longer the right one, and I like my body working naturally better.

Aghh I'm sorry but I absolutely hate mine. I sit there and grit my teeth, and once I honestly thought I was dying (I was maybe 13 at the time). Ouch!!

I'm on the pill and I STILL feel the twinges and tightness ... so I can't imagine if I was off the pill. That was the whole reason I went on the pill - because I felt like I was going to die for a couple of days every month. So, I like both the pill and feeling my slight cramps. :)

I like my cramps in small doses, please. Unfortunately, my body seems to think bigger is better.

I understand, that's the same reason I like to get my period. But then, there's a million reasons why I wish I didn't get it. But ya, your not the wierdest person on earth, at least not to me.

Yuck. I hate my cramps! I recently went off Depo, and while I feel healthier, I still hate having periods. Luckily, they don't seem to be as painful as they were before. Maybe the Depo hasn't fully worn off though.

The only part of my period I like, is the relief I feel when a cramp passes.

I loathe my cramps. Absolutely loathe them. Im glad, in a sense, that I have them though. It is a symbol that I am a woman. But thank God for pills that let me get rid of them!

When all y'all talk about cramps, are you talking abdominal or back aches? 'Cause when I used to have back aches, I hated them; but stomach cramps (mine anyway) aren't bad at all--just a little pinching/twisting.

I hope they stay that way.

OMG! My cramps are sometimes like early labor. The pain is horrid. I reach for aleve.
