Please see the link below for the full story. I think this is ridiculous. How can it even be a consideration to destroy the only habitat left for these animals?
As it states, Congress has allowed oil drilling on 95% of Alaska's Arctic North, the only thing left is the Arctic Wildlife Refuge and now they want to put equipment and pipelines on most of that land too. Shouldn't something be left untouched? Drilling on the refuge would not provide any kind of independence from other countries. We have very little oil in comparison to our suppliers overseas
