Ever since I have been drinking these protein drinks (brown rice mostly, but some soy ones), I have been noticing MAJOR changes in my physical appearance. I look healthier, more toned, and just like I have less body fat. Also, my waist is all tight and appears to be getting firmer, which makes me SO happy! When I drink these, I always make sure I have proteins like lentils, beans, etc (which I usually do of course) during the day also. I'm not on a low-carb diet either and consume TONS of beans, fruits, and veggies. Has anyone else experienced this? I seriously think I was lacking protein beforehand.

I miss my shakes! I used to have them in place of a meal (I ate 5 times per day), loved them and they kept me full.

Are you buying the drinks or have a recipe? If you are buying them, which brand? If you are making your own, can I have the recipe? please?

I'm interested to know what brand as well. :)

Are you using these as a meal replacement, or like a snack?

any extra protein...I think its over 25 g a day or a meal or something (you'll have to look it up)..you will just piss it out anyways. Doctors say that you should be getting enough protein in your diet as it is. If you are taking protein shakes in place of meals then that would explain the weight loss, because if you are taking in more protein than carbs you would be losing weight...I dont know whats in YOUR drink per say, Im just making a general statement.

ive read that you need anywhere from a half gram to a whole gram of protein for every lb that you weigh...25 grams of protein isnt even half enough for anyone, mind you.

High protein diets may have a diuretic effect, so that may be a reason why you look and feel more toned.

I believe its 0.8 per KG of body weight, in which case, 25 isnt terribly far off, but still too low. I make sure I'm getting about 45g and my husband at least 65g every day.
