Hi! I'm 15 years old and looking for a good vegan pair of shoes and a belt.

But this is my problem... my mom, whose buying it, is against artificial leather because she says its shiny (but I think she's just making up excuses). Is this true or she just making this up, and are there any good vegan belts and shoes that aren't shiny?

Huh. I don't know, I guess it can be shiny. I doubt she'd know the difference, I agree, sounds like an excuse.

Payless has a lot of non-leather shoes, might want to look there.

I Have fake leather shoes that look more real than my real leather shoes. (I didn't realize they were leather when I bought them :() Fake leather doesn't have to be shiny.

and i heard they make vegan vans. i need to find them lol.

Lots of pairs of Vans are vegan, the canvas shoes for example, the slip on range.

hasn't she heard of patent leather? that's uber-shiny.

Not all fake leather is shiny. have you been to payless shoes or mervyn's? they have a lot of vegan shoes that aren't shiny.
