Mission: The VeggieBoards Hamster Club is a group of fitness/health minded vegans and vegetarians who support each other in their endeavors in fitness, diet, and health. Anyone who chooses can post to this thread. There are no dues or fees, just a desire to share our efforts and support one another.

14 mile run today. We had a nice layer of cloud cover which made the run nice.

17 mile bike ride yesterday.
3.5 mile walk and about 2 miles testing out a bike today.

14 mile run on Fri., it was a good one. I irritated my knee yesterday trying to show off water skiing for the kids and their friends....they are just learning. Hey, I just wanted to show them how fun it was....silly old me. I missed my run today because of it but I expect it to feel much better tomorrow. I need to make sure I'm OK for the 16 mile run on Fri. I'll be gone on vacation for a couple of weeks after that...going to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons...so, I'll see you guys when I get back.

Last night - 5km run. And I did it in ....wait for it!...... 35 minutes! :hamster:
I ran for 15 minutes straight, walked for 5 and then ran for another 15. I will have to get some new shoes, though. My achilles tendons were sore, which I've never had before.

I'm actually starting to like running. You get into this rhythm and its almost meditative. :sunny:

Today:
90 min. jazz dance class

Haven't gone in like 1.5 weeks so I'm a little anxious, even tho I have worked out in other ways (i.e. my dance practices with my other dance group). Should be fun, nontheless tho.

6 mile run and 2 mile walk yesterday
5 mile run today...wanted to go for a bike ride but it's quite thundry outside right now. Maybe later.

Weds: 12 mile run
Thurs: 20 min bike ride to test the new trainer, 20 min abs/back work

Yesterday I did a 4 mile fartlek-ish run (really unstructured...just threw in 3-4 pickups of about 20 seconds each mile)

8 mile run and 4 mile walk today :)

Sunday: a LOT of walking. Went to Six Flags Great Adventure theme park and walked about everywhere hunting down rollercoasters I wanted to get on. Fun Fun!

Monday: More walking!! Went to NY and walked from 33rd St./Broadway all the way to 48 str./3rd ave. then back to 38th and ate at Better Burger (check the site - betterburgernyc.com - YUM!) and then went to 43rd to go to a bookstore and then had to walk all the way back to 34th street to catch the train home.

Tuesday: 90 min. dance practice (running included)

Today: Nada! Just some crunches. My legs are still sooo sore!
