I asked this question in the food forum, but no one answered, so I thought I'd try asking in this forum...

Does anyone here juice beets? I only ever see the little bunches of beets in the store and it seems like you'd have to buy a lot of these little bunches to make a significant amount of beet juice, which would get pretty expensive. Do any of you buy beets in bulk? Where might I try looking for beets in bulk? I'd be grateful for any ideas...

I juice beets, but they are VERY strong... I have to add a lot of carot or apple or cabbage to even make them palatable...

I usually juice just one beet for a big bunch of carrots or apples and it STILL tastes strong and earthy like beets...

Try maybe just a few at first - if you like them raw and juiced, then try finding them in bulk at Saturday Markets, Farm Stands, Produce Markets, those sorts of places...

I generally just buy a bunch (always the ones with the stalks, so I can juice them, too) and add them in with other things. Beet juice on its own is too strong for me and too bitter.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the responses!
