I'm not on a diet really....but I thought this might be the best board for this thread.
I am trying to cut soda out of my diet. Does anyone know of a good juice or drink that would be healthy and does taste entirely awful?

I guess that depends what tastes awful to you. I personally love orange juice. You can get cans of it that's been fortified with calcium. Cranberry juice is good for you too, I believe. I don't know how helpful this is since I'm not sure what you're looking for exactly...almost any juice tastes good to me unless it's Kool-Aid or some crap like that, and just about anything is healthier than pop anyways :p

You can mix fruit juice and seltzer water if you like a sweet carbonated drink. I personally like sparkling mineral water, but it's rather an acquired taste for non-Europeans. Poland Springs makes some that has a faint fruit taste, but it's not sweet at all, but more like a lemon-water thing. I love the raspberry lime one when it's ice cold, it's very refreshing.
Edit:
Also - I can't say this is entirely healthy, but I love Crystal Light. I've cut sweet drinks out of my diet for the most part, though, so I have to water it down a lot to tolerate it. I think you'll find your preference for really sweet beverages will decline as you adjust to not drinking soda.

soy milk. I love Silk Ehanced. Its the first kind of soy milk I've liked.
When I quit drinking soda I switched to Sprite to break the caffine addiction first then I slowly switched to water and one glass of juice usually OJ and two glasses of milk a day. Tea is good too but caffinated but you can get decaff. I alos occasionally like Cran-grape juice and its great for me since I have frequent UTIs(urinary tract infections).
Water really does grow on you as you drink more and more. And get a good purfied kind it will help and ice cold too. Water tastes different when not really cold.

I love carbonated water. Or plain water with a slice of lemon is nice too.

i order this pop in cola and orange and it is sooo good for not having any calories and is all -naturally sweetened (stevia and erythritol)
www.steaz.com
they have a new pop that is "diet" and is sweetened with stevia as well.

There are lots of brands of flavored water, although they are not carbonated. The selzer water or tonic water with juice is always a good idea.

I like water with lemon in it myself. Danasi makes flavored bottled water and the raspberry one is really good :) If I need a little caffine fix at work then I drink tea or coffee.

I used to drink waaay too much (decaf) Diet Coke. I now consume 1 or 2 a day. Yeah, that's still a lot, but a huge cut back on my behalf.
I now drink water the most, followed by decaf iced tea and those carbonated flavored waters that have no sugar or caffeine. I'm trying to quit artificial sweeteners, so I'll just be left with water before too long...and I'm cool with that.

Carbonated water with a twist of lemon or lime chilled and drank with a straw. Same with a dash of your favorite Juice.

If you scroll to the bottom of the list, you will see the "light" versions sweetened with lo han.

I, too have cut out soda. It was not an easy transistion as I used to love pop but I was determined to cut it out of my diet when I heard that it was no good for your kidneys. I have been drinking a lot more water. Also, drinking cranberry juice and grape juice are very good too. I love green tea. You might want to try Juicy juice because it doesn't have the sugar in it. Juicy juice is made with all natural juices and it tastes great. I especially like the tangerine.

i used to drink TONS of soda, but now i just drink aquafina flavorsplash (raspberry!) or red gatorade instead, cause the flavorsplash has no calories and the gatorade only has like 50 per serving

I have to admit, I am addicted to Crystal Light as well. I love the Pink Lemonade....I drink it all the time. I know it may not be the healthiest beverage in the world, but it's alot better than the 2 liters of soda I was drinking every day, and it only has about 5 calories per glass!
