Hey there. I don't post on this site often, but thought I should bring this to as many people's attention as possible:

A local radio station plans to drown a dog tomorrow morning, 12. August 2005.

Details available here:
http://www.justiceandjim.modblog.com
the station's website is here
http://www.wklq.com

I'm not certain what can be done to pre-empt this, but we need to, at the very least flood their inbox. This is just cruel and abhorrent.

(somehow I'm unable to post live links...)

Seeing Grand Rapids in the title caught my attention... that is where I'm from. :( I am curious to know what radio station it is...

Raising awareness about child safety is a good thing, but this is not the way to do it. :(

I think it's a scam/joke.

Is drowning dogs not slightly illegal?

I was thinking the same thing.

One of the radio stations in my area told everyone they were landing the space shuttle in Stewart Airforce base (near us) because the weather in Florida was bad. On April Fool's day.

I couldn't find it on the link. That is sick. Even if they weren't reallly planning to, leading us on like that is so freaking cruel!

Geez, kinda obvious that they wouldn't have actually done such a thing, right?
