I have a nine month old maltepoo who will pretty much eat *anything*, admittedly (except for lettuce, though he will swallow it resignedly if it's the only thing I'll give him), but I'm really delighted with his new favorite food....I make green smoothies every morning with a bunch of kale leaves, and I always cut out the thick ribs. I was throwing them out, but discovered that Paddington looooves them! The added bonus is that it keeps him busy all morning so he doesn't attach himself to my ankles while I'm getting ready....

One weird thing my dog eats is the tops off of strawberries.

Just make sure you never feed your doggies grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, chocolate, or anything caffinated.
All toxic.

Would you be able to post some pics? I'd LOVE to see what a maltepoo looks like! :D

I'll be glad to!
will have to get my b.f. to help me with that tonite, as I am computer illiterate. :)
he is really the cutest dog in the world....imagine a sheep dog that weighs 8 pounds.

My dogs love baby carrots. I'm not sure why, but they swarm to get a carrot treat.

I had heard the onion thing, but hadn't thought much about it. Recently, I noticed Addie hoovering up a couple slices of raw red onion that I dropped. Very odd. I guess I'll have to be careful about that. I just hadn't imagined she love them so much.

They have never had smoothies :p

this is a baby picture of Paddington....the only one I could find in my files....he's bigger now, of course, and his hair is a lot longer. He has a very sweet mustache and hair that falls into his eyes.....

I thought for sure the answer was going to be Cat Poop

Jake discovered the wonderful delicacy of goose poop just a few days ago. I think its right up there next to pizza on his list of favs.

Wow! my little maltese is so fussy it is begining to worry me. Her previous owner only ever fed her certain varieties of Whiskas and now she won't touch anything else...

That is one adorable little dog!!

Zildjian, our Dalmatian, loves fruits and veggies....she'll eat tomato, eggplant, celery.....anything that she sees my husband eat, she figures it must be good!

Samson, our "Malamutt" (Malamute/Shepherd mix) has an unusual favorite treat - dry corn flakes. He is rather obsessed with them. He begs for them on a regular basis (stands by the pantry and barks), and God help you if you don't have any........you'd better get up and schlep your happy butt to the store unless you want a 110-pound furball pestering you all night! LOL!

Rene....why don't you try mixing in a few tbs. of other high quality canned food into the whiskas until she's eventually eating all good stuff? I personally feed my dog this brand called "Country Pet" that I find at Whole Foods. It comes in frozen rolls that you thaw and slice. The ingredients are really basic: lamb and some veggies and vitamins. Paddington loves it and won't touch the Pedigree I've tried to give him in emergency situations (like when I can only manage a drive to the corner store late at nite). I don't know how everyone feels about feeding their dogs meat, but I personally feel that their bodies are designed for it (short digestive tracts, long canines, etc) and they seem to thrive on a protein based diet with some veggies thrown in.

My two younger dogs beg for melon like crazy. My oldest dog, however, spits it out with an audible, "plech."
