just wondering how many people around here have fish.

I have a 46 gal tank that has about 20 or 30 fry(baby) goldfish in it (this is what happens when your not sure what sex two goldfish are before you put them in the same tank, you find out)
I have two ten gal tanks each one holding one of the parents and then I have 1 male betta in a 2 and half gal bowl.
what does everyone else have?

I have fish. I have one koi (Serendipity), a Blue-scale Oranda (Cinder), a Shubunkin (Grover), a Black Moor (Güillermo), an orange & white Ryukin (Ishmael), and 3 bettas. The two males are Linus and Arthur Weasley, and the female is named Amelia.

My goldfish are in a 55 gallon; the bettas are each in a 1 gallon bowl.

My koi is probably about 9 or 10 inches. Cinder is about 7 inches. Grover is about 7-8 inches. Güillermo is about 2-3 inches, as is Ishmael. I've never had fish mate so far, as I only have one female (the koi).

wow thats a lot of fish to fit in one tank, hope you got a realy good filter.
we were vary surrprised when we found all those eggs in the tank. get a new tank for my birthday set it all up ready for fish put my goldfish in there by the next day we wake up and the fish are "fighting" or least we thought thats what they were doing untill we took the male out and put him in his old tank go back look at the tank see thousand of eggs all over. and the weirdest part about it is my goldfish arnt even the same breed ones a black moor the other is a oranda.

my dad had a parakeet named petie as a kid. none of the kids took care of it, so my grandma had to. one day she told it that she wished it would die because she was tired of taking care of it, and it was dead the next morning. :worried:

um, i guess i'll be a little more on topic. i had a betta, but he died in may.

I have an 80 gallon filter, and a 40 gallon filter. Between them, they cycle over 200 gallons an hour, so yeah I'm fine with filtration.

I know alot of people who have bettas, it makes me so mad to see them in those tiny cups they can't even move its so evil to make them live in that, mine lives in a two gal bowl and can move vary much and has plants to hide behind. makeing them live in those torture traps they call "betta bowls" is pure evil. sorry that your died, they only live like two years about.

lol, yeah my goldfish are realy funny my black moor favorite hobby is to move all her gravil from one side of the tank to the other. I thinks shes trying build an extra wall or something, she piles it all up and then she'll start over and bring it back. its realy fun to watch fish their not boreing at all like some people think(im serius not kidding).
I would put my betta in with the other but I read that you can't put goldfish and male bettas together becuz the betta will mistake the long fins as a fellow male betta and fight

I have two male bettas, Donatello and Spaz. Don is an old purple purple veiltail, and Spaz is a teal, red and brown halfmoon tail. Don is in a 1 1/2 gallon bowl and Spaz is in a 1 gallon tank.

I have a ten gallon tank containing 6 black neon tetras, 3 otocinclus, 3 bronze corydoras, 1 snail and 1 dwarf gourami named Anakin.

I had a red and yellow rescued betta named Rocky who died of Columnaris a few monthes back. More than likely, he had the disease when I purchased him.

I also had two otos, who came from the same place at the same time, pass away a few monthes ago around the same time, which is a sin...

But my tanks are mine. I was away at camp last week and my fish care page took up the entire page...

I have two 30g and 1 20g extra tall. The inhabitants are angles, neons, various catfish and clown loaches. I have to set a bigger tank for my clowns (been lazy) and i saw on craigslist today that a lady has a lone clown in a small tank...not acceptable! This is usually how i get my little buddies. Pitty missions.:)

I have a 15 gallon tank with 10 half-grown red platys and one adult platy. I started with two adults, and one of them must have come from the pet store pregnant, so I ended up with way more platys than I intended to! They are all very healthy and happy, though.
