My mom got some new Rx anti wrinkle or something cream from her doctor, and it was insanely expensive, and she isn't supposed to use cleansers and moisturizers that contain alcohol with it. She called me to see if I knew of any without, and I didn't offhand, and could only find ONE facial cleanser (and NO moisturizer) at the co-op without alcohol.
Does anyone know of any or can recommend any? Preferably liquid face soap stuff and SPF 15 (or better) facial moisturizer.

I read your post and figured there had to be lots of alcohol free things in our bathroom... and was shocked! Surprisingly the only thing I could find was my facial cleanser- phisoderm. I can't tell you if it's animal free though, there's no ingredient list.

Same here, Cetyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol are listed on just about every moisturizer I have. Benzyl Alcohol seems to be a preservative that some companies are using in place of parabens.
I see two cleansers right off that don't have alcohol in them. Alba's Sea Mineral Cleansing Gel and Avalon's Lavender Facial Cleansing Gel.

I checked the Cetaphil I use and it has alcohol in it too.
What about a mild soap bar from somewhere like Clinique? You'd have to check on the ingredients though...

rabid_child, your mom should double check with her doctor about what kind of alcohol she should avoid. SD 40 alcohol is detrimental to the skin, but plant alcohols are routinely used in natural skin care. You might like to suggest Arbonne products to her, which are proven to reduce the depth and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by 48% and boost collagen and elastin production (without harsh ingredients or animal byproducts). I'd be happy to work with her on a program that she can use with or without her Rx - all with a guarantee. She can even get a print out of the ingredients to show her doctor if she'd feel more comfortable with that. :)

Suki Naturals - Lemongrass Cleanser (http://www.sukisnaturals.com/product.php?product_id=13) or Cleansing Lotion (http://www.sukisnaturals.com/product.php?product_id=14) (not vegan)
I was going to link Aveda cleansers, but their site only lists key ingredients. Might want to check out the All Sensitive cleanser.
