Alright, so I already made a post about how adrenaline is doping me up like hard drugs, but I've isolated two other strange effects of my turn to veganism. The first might actually have little to do with it specifically and more with my lifestyle. I have a low blood pressure. Like...Real low. 111/66 with a 64 pulse rate at the time that I took it, and I was quite stressed at that moment too, so I'm fairly sure it's lower than that. However, I exercise regularly, and use my bike almost exclusively for all my transportation needs, in addition to the vegan diet. So...Should I be worried about this? Or is it more something to enjoy and be happy about?

My other thing is something that might need getting looked at. It's gotten better with the past few weeks as well, but I still occasionally have trouble with it, and never have before. If I sit or lay down for a bit, then get up quickly, I get dizzy, and my vision kinda blurs out. This could be tied into the low blood pressure though, because it might be the change of position causes blood to move slower through me, which might cause it. It has, however, gotten better over the past 2-3 weeks. Any comments?

This might help you out.

http://sportsmedicine.about.com/b/a/114124.htm says anything under 100/60 is too low You're fine.

Are you eating enough?

That's just the blood pressure thing. Happens to me, too. The doctor told me it's just that my blood cools when I'm not moving (I guess my brain doesn't like that).

That's like the perfect blood pressure. As far as dizziness you need to eat nuts.

I used to be 70/40 until I started taking medicine to raise my blood pressure. I'd try going to a heart doctor, if you can. You may have a vaso vagal problem like I do. They can give you medicine that helps with this. I have it fairly bad, and will randomly faint when I get shocked, surprised or hurt.

Interesting. So after reading those articles, I learn about the phenomena "orthostatic hypotension", which appears to be the exact definition of what happens to me. This, combined with what you guys say leads me to believe that it would actually be normal. It could be that before my blood pressure was too high, which spared me the orthostatic hypotension, but was undoubtedly not as healthy. Nevertheless, I find it a little unnerving, so I'll probably have it double-checked at my college's clinic.
