Don't believe anything you hear on Futurama. ^-^
But you should try Tom's of Maine toothpaste. Search for toothpaste on these forums, it's a popular topic.

Colgate and other popular brands contain glycerin and other animal-derived ingredients
Cruelty Free brands:
Tom's of Maine(Found at grocery stores as well as health food stores)
http://www.tomsofmaine.com/
J/A/S/O/N/(Found in health stores)
http://www.jason-natural.com/
Toms of Maine also contains glycerin but it's vegetable source. Just thought I'd clear that up in case any confusion arises.
Check for toothpastes that say "no animal testing, no animal ingredients".

Okay, we are not allowed to watch Futurama anymore. Off to bed, young lady!
Whatever you get--be sure to get something with Flouride (sp?) Or use a flouride rinse. When I went for my last check up, my teeth weren't as good as usual and they suspected that. I'd been using the T of M w/o flouride; I've since switched and it's looking much better!

There has been a long time debate (lasting decades, actually) about the benefits vs. harmful effects of fluoride. I used to get fluoride treatments on my teeth when I was in my mid teens, and now my teeth are dark and miscolored. I've read that that can be one of the effects of fluoride. Personally, I wouldn't automatically recommend anything containing fluoride to others until I know for sure that it's safe, and at this time, I don't know. But all that is for another thread. :bobo:

:surprised: which?
I just came home from a business trip and I forgot to bring my favorite Kiss My Face whitening toothpaste. I had to get a little tube from the front desk of Crest cinnamon and I cannot even tell you how much I hated using it. Not to mention, I think it's a Proctor and Gamble product. I think I'm going to go brush my teeth now...I really missed my KMF!
:surprised: which? I've got the regular paste w/ flouride and it says nothing about propolis. I've also used the whitening paste that did not contain propolis. Unless it's not a listed ingredient?

That happened to me, too, similarly. I have been using Tom's of Maine toothpaste for over 25 years. When I went on a trip about 6 1/2 years ago, somehow my toothpaste didn't get packed, and I had to go down the hotel's front desk and get some. They gave me some Colgate. Ugh. :spew:
Toothpaste is at the top of my travel checklist now.

whenever i use 'non natural' toothpaste anymore, my teeth hurt. i'll just dry brush instead! and then have a vegetarian mint.

I use the regular Tom's of Maine with flouride and it doesn't say it has propolis either... weird.. never knew that...
I have really sensitive teeth though and occasionally have to "switch back" to Crest for Sensitive teeth.. yeah, yeah, I know it's P&G and all, but it's sometimes the only product I can handle...

As far as I know, Tom's only has one toothpaste that contains propolis. It's called Natural Antiplaque Toothpaste with Propolis & Myrrh.
