Hmm...good question. I would delete the VB cookie so if someone else visited after you they wouldn't automatically log on as you. That's seem's like a quick fix in the meantime until Michael can address this.

The logout link is next to your name on the main page where it says "Welcome back, Max Power [log out]."

Wow, we must both be blind 'cause I swear I looked and I didn't see it either...good to know where it's at.

I never log myself out on the school computers because I really don't think anyone from my school is interested in coming here. I have a haven, sort of.

i've never actually been able to logout of VB. whenever i click logout, it just refreshes the page and says "welcome back, stonecrest" all over again :) it's like a twilight zone episode, although not nearly as complex, intelligent, or haunting.

I think we discussed this when people were trying to log in as Secret Santa (oh boy, that's going to be a mess this year). I'm sure it's there somewhere if you want to go look for it.
When I'm at school I always log out and then restart the computer.

Oh no! Let's not even think of how complicated Secret Santa might be this year! We really might have to go with regions or ages or something this year to make it simpler.
But a VB get-together based on regions would be much more possible!
But again, I say, welcome to all the new people.

You'd better.......
I did the same on a public access point, when I came back a week later it said "welcome 1vegan".
This might seem harmless, but I don't want the first idiot that passes by and visits a page from the explorer history posting on VB with my name on it.....
Be aware..ALWAYS LOGOUT from a public access computer.

Yep...sometimes when I bored I go to the main library here at lunch time. I get on the pc's over there and mess around. It always amazes me where folks have been. I check out the temporary internet folders and cookies just to see where folks have been. Sometimes if you go there you are in to the site under someone else's name because they never logged out of have it set to automatically log in. If I do it, I'm sure there are other people that do as well. I guess we all should brush up on our safe pc practices.

Yeah, don't forget it...and you can also consider changing the cookie setting in your CP.
