Well, you may have noticed I haven't been posting here as often lately. My adoption is almost complete! I am also going back to classes part-time with the hope of getting a PhD sometime down the road. To top it all off, my job has offered my overtime until my baby arrives (which I desperately need to pay for the adoption).
All of these things are wonderful, but they mean I have limited free time. I will be taking a break from Veggieboards for an unknown length of time.
Thank you for the wonderful discussions! Some of you may know that I am not a veg*n, and I originally came here out of curiosity. I wanted to learn more about the lifestyle and people of veg*nism. While I have not become a vegitarian, I have switched over to a largely lacto-ovo-vegitarian diet. I know this will not make some of you happy, and I am sorry for that, but I hope that some here can be happy that speaking about their beliefs has reduced the amount of meat consumed in this world. It was this board that has convinced me to use less and less meat.
Perhaps someday down the road, I will decide to make the switch to lacto ovo vegitarian. For now, I have cut factory farming out of my life as much as possible, using 50% local food (and all meat from local sources), and the rest organic.
Thank you for the debates. I found them truly enlightening and enjoyable. See ya around.
