This thread is really starting to slow down. I am wondering if we should turn it into a monthly thread or something???

Captain, I like keeping it weekly. It seems like it tends to go in cycles...like for a few months it'll be really busy and then slow down but pick up again. Majority rules though so if others want it monthly I won't complain :)
5 mile tempo run and weights today.

I like keeping it weekly too! It motivates/reminds me to make sure I stay active and exercise during the week... even if I do forget to post sometimes :D
Saturday: 2 hr. dance practice
Sunday: ----
Today: ab work in the morning and more to follow tonight.
Tuesday: 2 hr. dance practice
FYI - we're working on a spanish/salsa-ish type dance in my practices. Plus we usually run a few laps before we start.
GO HAMSTERS!!

about 1 hour of kayaking
2 hours of swimming and flipping the kayak over to practice getting in from the water
1 or 2 mile (?) hike around an island
We had fun.

6 mile run in the ozone-action-day-weather  I thought if I got out early it wouldn't be so bad. I was wrong :p Good thing tomorrow's rest :)

Hi Hamsters,
I'm happy to see the Hamsters are still going strong....don't worry Captain, some months are just slower than others it always goes up and down. Big thanks for starting things up every week!!!
****FYI...any Hamster can start the thread. If you see that a new one hasn't been started and needs to be, start one. I haven't been here since they have updated things, but all we had to do was contact a moderator after you make the post to let them know to tac it. Is this still the same Captain?
Anyhoo, I've been busy Hamstering. I'm not sure if I mentioned it but I am training for another marathon......ummm...or maybe I did? I don't know, I'm loosing my mind. It's in Oct. and I'm trianing for the first time with other people rather than alone. I noticed that I am less likely to talk myself into a walk when I'm running with others...that's good.
I ran a grueling 12 miler last Sun., we started at 6am but it was still already really warm, 79 by the time we were half way through....it's been a warm summer here but because we run so early it's usually alot cooler in the am. I'm trying to help some friends through their first marathon. We all felt like crap last week and I felt even worse because I didn't think I should so terrible (phyically....but I did) and I felt like I was to blame for not keeping the motivation up....they were feeling pretty burnt.
But we had a great run on Fri. an easy 10....(easy 10) which we all chuckled about....because at least one of them had never run further that 5 miles ever before she started running with us...and of coarse the rest of us could remember when we thought the idea of an (easy) 10 was funny. I think that they felt better after that. They were motivated enough to sign up. Me too.
Go Hamsters!!!!! :vebo:

<========= Has been slack, very very slack.
I managed to get on the exercise bike on Monday for 45 minutes, but that's all the exercise I've done all week. The problem was I didn't do any food shopping, so I didn't eat properly all week, so I got really tired easily and didn't want to exercise all week. I now have a cupboard full of food, so next week will be better. I have my first fun run ever in September, so I have to be ready for it.
